The quickest way to watch a yoga teacher go from zero to 60: "Yoga? I can't even touch my toes!"
Splits are synonymous with yoga. However, from me to you, I'm gonna let you in a little secret- splits don't matter. What does is balancing two parts of a healthy split: mobility and stability.
This is not a splits workshop. Here we're looking at the role of hip mobility in all poses- not just the super stretch ones- and how to access more hip mobility in a variety of configurations. Moreover, we'll rein in and balance that mobility with stability in increasing measure from the foundation of standing balances. You gotta get down to get up!
I highly recommend this workshop for people with knee issues. As someone who's had an ACL reconstruction and is functioning with only a third of my meniscus still intact, I became very acquainted with the principles of this practice as a part of my rehab after surgery. No toe touching required!
